Fortunately, there exist something known as compassionate allowances, which is a means of providing for the needs of those who have terminal illnesses, based upon minimal medical information — in other words, the basic diagnosis is generally sufficient. It is at least a comfort to know that your needs will be provided and that you’re eligible to receive fast track benefits through the Social Security Administration. There is a list of approximately 50 serious conditions that will determine your eligibility for this benefit. Let’s hope that you don’t have to utilize it any time soon.
