Modification Can Be A Long Term Solution To Foreclosure On Your Home

January 19th, 2008 | by admin |

Sometimes a borrower of a home loan loses his job and falls behind on several payments before he regains employment. There is still a way to stop mortgage foreclosure—mortgage modification. This solution is for people who can resume their normal payment but can’t catch up the past due amount. In modification, the lender agrees to add your past due amount back in to your existing loan and extend your payments over a longer period of time. It will be a few extra months before your home loan is paid off but it will at least stop mortgage foreclosure.
