Forms and History of the Am Fm Receiver

Before transistors, and integrated circuits, people had no choice but to listen to broadcast music and radio programs on a large Am Fm Receiver. Some of the old sets were as big as a sofa. This was because technology limitations at the time due to the necessity of having to use vacuum tubes. Later on, after transistors became widely available, radios became much smaller. Eventually, the continuing trend of miniaturization made it possible to make a receiver in any shape that is desired. Now the only relevant questions to be answered are whether a receiver is analog or digital, and what shape and color it is.
