Corporate Information Security

May 13th, 2008 | by admin |

How can I convince my boss to make corporate information security a priority? Why must executives always wait until a crisis occurs before taking action? Our company IS our IP. That’s all we are at the end of the day. Yet right now our doors are wide open to even the most rudimentary hacking techniques.
So of course it’s fallen to me to take the initiative to learn more about Data Security Software. I’ll also need to find a way to sell it. Perhaps a full-blown risk assessment.
Next time my proposal gets rejected, I should get them to promise to stay up with me in the racks for as long as it takes to fix the next disaster that comes along. Maybe that will give them some perspective.
