Vehicle, motor car or  auto insurance  has become a common term in the world of motors and motorists. Auto insurance is especially relevant in the case of drivers and travelers in cars. In the United Kingdom auto insurance is mandatory. Today UK law is defined by the Road Traffic Act 1988. The act was last modified in 1991. The act requires that motorists must be insured, or should have a security, or must have made a specified deposit against their liability for injuries. Insurance that satisfies the requirement of the terms and conditions of the road traffic act is called third party insurance and covers passengers too.
